This is a nice photo of a man at Xen Lounge Soulful Club Sunday in cowboy fashion look. The photo makes me think of African-American cowboy history. It makes me wonder what the life of a black cowboy was really like in the old days because I never knew that black cowboys existed. I never saw them in history books in school, and most of the time, films only showed White American cowboys on television. What was hidden and what we did not know in the old days, we were probably looking at it dead in the face through great grandparents, great aunts, and uncles. If you were not told about the past family history, you walked around not knowing.
Today, some of us may be seeing some of the past history if it has been passed down and kept alive. There are still black cowboys today. There are black men and women that like wearing the cowboy fashion look.
Take a look at the Federation of Black Cowboys trailer by PBS America.
